How Edexcel International A‑level Biology YBI11 is assessed

Six units: Units 1, 2, 4 and 5 are theory papers, and Units 3 and 6 assess practical skills by written exam.
Is Edexcel International Biology modular?+-
Yes. Each unit is a standalone exam that can be banked across sessions and resat to improve the grade.
How is the practical assessed?+-
By written exam, in Units 3 and 6. There is no separate lab exam.
How is it graded?+-
The full International A-level is graded A* to E; International AS is graded a to e.
When are the exams?+-
