Accounting marks slip for a small number of fixable reasons
Accounting is the most diagnosable subject we teach. Students who are struggling almost always have a single identifiable break in the chain, and everything downstream of it collapses.
Double entry never truly landed
Every accounting topic depends on this foundation. Understanding why transactions affect two accounts matters more than memorising rules.
Format marks are lost
Accounting rewards correct presentation as well as figures. Layout, headings, ordering and totals can secure extra marks.
Adjustments are applied mechanically
Accruals, prepayments, depreciation and provisions require understanding so students can handle unfamiliar questions.
Interpretation is left unpractised
Students often calculate ratios correctly but miss marks by not explaining what the figures mean for the business.
How Tuition Highway works
You don’t sort through profiles or chase a tutor. We run the match and stay accountable for it.
We match, not you
We assess curriculum, subject, level, weak areas and schedule first — then match one tutor built around that.
The same tutor, weekly
Continuity, not a rotating pool. Your child works with one tutor who knows exactly where they are.
Progress reported to you
You get regular updates on what was covered and what’s next — no wondering what happens in the session.
Not right? We replace them
If the fit isn’t working, we rematch at no extra cost. The match is our responsibility, not your family’s.

Questions parents ask
My child was fine and then suddenly lost. Why?+-
Usually there is one broken foundation link, often double entry or control accounts. Accounting builds step by step, so finding and fixing that gap can make a major difference.
Is accounting mostly memorisation?+-
No. While formats need to be learned, higher marks come from understanding why transactions affect accounts and applying that logic to new questions.
Which curricula do you cover?+-
We cover Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE, A-Level, International A-Level, CBSE and American high school accounting.
Is accounting good preparation for university?+-
Yes. It provides a strong foundation for accounting, finance and business degrees and supports progression into professional qualifications.
Do you help with coursework?+-
We coach, question and provide feedback only. We never write or edit submitted coursework.
